This is a scaffold sample, not a real article. Per the content guide, trending articles are written the week of launch from actual current trends so they are timely at review time — they are deliberately not pre-written.
It exists so the trending category renders during build-out and so agents can see the expected article shape end to end.
What a real trending article contains
An intro naming the trend and who is asking about it. A verdict box answering immediately. A methodology section with real TODO:OWNER-TEST blocks like this one:
TODO:OWNER-TEST — Replace this entire file in Wave 3 with a real trending topic validated via ReddTrends → Reddit search → Google Trends.
Template checklist
Verified pricing in a ComparisonTable. Pros and cons. Two or three alternatives with one-line reasons. At least two contextual internal links, like this one to ChatGPT Free vs Plus and this one to viral tech products.
Pros
- Shows agents the full article shape
- Keeps the trending category non-empty during build-out
Cons
- Not publishable content
- Must be deleted or replaced in Wave 3
Verdict
WAIT — for the real thing, written launch week.
